Consultation services are a unique opportunity for those who might be having trouble with their tropical plants to get helpful feedback. Based on a one-hour online meeting, individuals would be able to display their plants and discuss what may be going wrong. This type of resource was created to share the knowledge of a plant science student, to help educate others who are interested, and to provide answers to questions they might not readily find online. This resource makes available key information and a growing bag of fundamental tricks that have been developed through years of trial and error.

How it Works:

Step 1 – Book an appointment by contacting Samakami directly

Step 2 – Provide any photos or supporting descriptions of issues prior to the appointment

Step 3 – Join the online meeting at the scheduled time in which solutions and further discussions will be held

Having the client take photos or any supporting evidence that may help determine the causes of damage to plant health will always be requested prior to the appointment to ensure proper preparation along with key treatments is provided.

Fees:

$20 – per one-hour online meeting

Overages over initial meeting time are considered as additional hours and charged accordingly.

Sourcing is an opportunity for enthusiasts to be able to bring in plants that they might not be able to find elsewhere. Samakami has been professionally sourcing plants for many years while having built a large base of suppliers and private collectors, providing access to a wide range of specimens from many different continents. Being familiar with the Canadian border agency rules and regulations, all imports are by the book with proper paperwork and documentation. Focusing on species conservation and ethical, sustainable sourcing, this resource is only granted to bringing in specimens that are non-poached and the origins of which are known.

How it Works:

Step 1 – Contact Samakami directly with the plant(s) you may be looking for

Step 2 – Samakami will contact you when the plant(s) have been located with pictures of the exact specimen provided

Step 3 – Payment of plant, shipping, and sourcing costs will be asked prior to departure from the origin country. Import costs will be asked to be paid when the shipment reaches the Canadian border after inspection

Step 4 – Plants will be sent to final destination directly via mail or pickup after they have arrived

Fees:

$100 – for shipment worth $500 or less

$200– for shipment worth $1,000 or less

$300 – for any shipment over $1,000
